Biography

Will was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a B.A. degree in history. After completing a tour with the Coast Guard, Will was drawn to the warmth and laid-back life style of California. In 1976, Will opened his first studio, specializing in hand carving fire place mantles, which led to him becoming a prize-winning master woodcarver.

In 2009, Will and his wife LuAnn closed the gallery in San Diego and moved back home to Minnesota, where Will put aside his carving tools and picked up his paint brush full time.

Over the years Will's style of painting has undergone many evolutions and his works encompasses a wide range of subjects, yet his artistic style is classic and timeless. Will's use of strong color and bold brush strokes exemplifies his passion and love for painting and is cherished by his collectors.

Will is inspired by the beautiful moments he sees all around him, be it a vase overflowing with roses or a hammock on a summer day. His ability to accurately capture that moment enables the viewer to share in the experience, an experience where you are drawn in and lose yourself for a moment in the beauty.

In 2012, Will opened Nevers Studio in Bloomington, Minnesota where he welcomes visitors to experience his paintings first hand.
