Cinque Terre

My latest painting is of a rugged portion of coast on the Italian Riviera, called Cinque Terre. The town is quite colorful with bright colors, however I chose to paint it at night and use grays and darker colors.

The moonlight in this painting offers shadows and the colors play off of each other, making an interesting effect.
